I171
There is not much to update except that we got a call late Friday from the USCIS saying our application for advance proccessing of orphan petition (I do not really know what that means but we have to have it to adopt from Ukraine!) has been approved and our I171 should come in the mail late this week or early next week. That is the last piece of our dossier so we are very excited. Maybe soon we will have a more definite idea of when we will be going to meet the boys! One step closer. :)

Getting your I171 is a HUGE deal and it means, assuming everything in your Russian dossier is complete, you could easily be travelling within a few weeks! All you need now is the okay/invitation from the Ukranian Minister of Education to visit the children's home. Then you'll apply for your visas and you are there! Oh, and the I171 means that as soon as you land back in the states with the boys, they will officially be U.S. citizens. And if you get a really cool stewardess or pilot, they will announce something along the lines of "And we'd like to welcome our newest United States citizens to their new home!" over the loud speaker when you touch back down on American soil.
